Treadmill Tabata

Start your workout with the Australia's Trusted Workout Warm Up.

Tabata workouts involve 20 secs of intense work followed by 10 secs of rest. Using the treadmill (or skill mill), set the machine at a “sprinting” pace and perform 8 efforts for the 1st set (4mins total) and rest for 100m of walking / then 6 efforts for the 2nd set (3mins total) and rest for 100m of walking / then 4 efforts (2mins total) for the 3rd and final set.


Example:

20 sec sprint

10 sec rest          x 8 efforts = 4mins


Recovery 100m walk                                            


20 sec sprint

10 sec rest          x 6 efforts = 3mins


Recovery 100m walk


20 sec sprint

10 sec rest          x 4 efforts = 2mins

 

Finish!


(Note: as you get towards the end of the workout, reduce the speed if needed)
